Harlow Hospital Radio Wins Gold at the Hospital Radio Awards.Harlow Hospital Radio won the Gold award for Station Promotion, at the HBA's National Hospital Radio awards 2011. The winning entry was our on-air trailer for last year's annual pantomime, Snow White. The promo was designed by Chairman Andy Meadows, and features the voices of many Harlow Hospital Radio members. The ceremony took place on Saturday 26th March at the Ramada Hotel in Maidstone, Kent, and saw hospital radio stations from all over the UK competing against each other. Click play to listen. |

40 Hour Non Stop BroadcastThis took place in the studio between the hours of 6 am Saturday 25th September and 10 pm Sunday 26th September. | |
August Bank holiday Sunday saw HHR hosting a rounders tournament in Harlow, where six teams, including HHR competed for a trophy and half of the entrance fee. On a windy and wet day HHR despite a brave attempt by its members finished well down the list. | ||

Long-Serving members at Harlow Hospital Radio (HHR) have been awarded for their commitment to the station. HHR is celebrating its 40th year of broadcasting to patients at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) and PAH Long Service Awards were handed to qualifying members by the hospital trust chairman, Gerald Coteman, at a recent AGM meeting. The recipients were: Paul Child, Andy Ball, Andy Meadows, Stewart Taylor, Kieran Wills, Aaron Page, Gerald Coteman (PAH Trust Chairman), Brian Cave, John Bryson, Linna Howard (PAH Patient and Public Involvement Co-ordinator), Alison Hedger, Jane Bryson, Ian Jackson, Marcos Kallou, David Woollard and Andy Roberts.
